My little fingers are worn out. I finished four of the "This Side Up" ornaments. I have the patterns for sale on my web site. These ornaments just tickle me pink! Turn them one way and they are a beautiful tassel-like ornament. Flip them over and they look like a tiny tutu made of beads! Try saying tiny tutu three times! I just did and I sounded like a goofy train. It takes SO little to amuse me.

It was a perfect day to photograph beadwork. It was overcast but lots of filtered light. I grabbed one of my new ornaments and went outside. The sun went away and the flash went off. Oh well, I'll try again another day, Miss Scarlett. Until I get a decent photo this will have to do. The ornament is one of my "This Side Up" series. I've had a lot of fun making them. It all started with my disaster when Sam chewed part of my "Peek-a Bead" necklace and I had one piece left over. After I made the first ornament I discovered that it was pretty no matter which side was up. Two ornaments for the price of one! How's that for saving money?

My bead block is definitely gone. I've been beading until 2 am almost every night for over a week. I'm happy but I'm tired. My fingers are begging me to stop. My fanny is sore from sitting in one place for so many hours. I've been making some ornaments and they are looking pretty spiffy if I do say so myself. With any luck I'll have some photos ready to post soon.

I've done the frog stitch more times than I care to think about but it's finally finished. I wanted to use the round pieces in three sizes but it was way too big. I made a smaller bottom piece, used the two and it works. In about a week I'll probably like the piece. I'm so tired of messing with it that I'd really like to throw it out the window! I call this "Peek-a-Bead" because when you open the lid the lampwork bead pops up. When you pull the center fringe strand the lid closes and the bead hides.

I had the most wonderful weekend! Coop and I went out to the new Buffalo Thunder Resort Saturday night to see the Terry Fator show. His show was fabulous! If you don't recognzie the name he is the impersonator/puppeteer who won America's Got Talent last year. He is good on TV but in person he is absolutely unbelieveable. He sang duets with various puppets impersonating Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole, Sonny and Cher... and on and on! The puppets sang Elvis, Garth Brooks, Roy Orbison and a bezillion others. If he is appearing near you please do yourself a favor and go! He just signed a 100 million dollar five year contact with the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. Here are some YouTube clips from the TV show: Crying (Over you) , What a Wonderful World, Unforgettable, Friends In Low Places
Sunday the weather turned cold so we spent the whole day just being lazy. We had a fire going all day. What a wonderful day! What a wonderful weekend!!!

The damage Sam did to my new necklace experiment has been repaired. All the components are made so it's time to start putting it together. If it turns out well I'll post a photo of the finished piece. If it looks like a big fat mess I may just post a photo of the pile of beads that are left when I cut it apart!
